Kedarnath-Tunganath Trek

The 16 kms  Kedarnath Trek starting from Gaurikund is one of the trekkers' paradise attracting thousands of tourists every year, not only for the enticing trail and mesmerising mother nature with deep forests, Glaciers and waterfalls along the way, but also from the Pilgrimage point, the Lord Shiva temple at a height of 3,583 m above sea level, close to Chorabari glacier.  The ancient temple has exquisite architecture and is built of huge, evenly shaped grey stone. The Kedarnath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a part of Char Dham and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India.

The Kedarnath Trek is located within Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, and trek timings are confined to between  4 am and 1:30 pm. The overall trek experience will make anyone spellbound, as nature has so much to offer during the trek. It is important that participants are in sound health with a basic fitness level.

The Tungnath Trek begins from the base camp at Chopta, covering a distance of about 5-6 kilometres that typically takes 3-4 hours to complete. Ascending to an altitude of approximately 12,000 feet, the trail leads to the ancient Tungnath Temple, which is believed to be over a thousand years old and is revered as the world's highest Shiva temple (Tritiya Kedar).

Day 1:  Drive from Haridwar to Sonprayag (227km)

Day 2: Drive from Sonprayag to Gaurikund (5km) & Trek to Kedarnath ( 21km / 11760Ft)

Day 3: Trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund (21km) & Drive to Ukhimoth (45km)

Day 4: Drive from Ukhimoth to Chopta (35km) & Trek to Tunganath ( 4.5km/ 12073 Ft )

Day 5: Trek from Tungnath to Chandrashila (12,110 Ft / 2km ) & Trek down to Chopta ( 6.5km ) & Drive to Haridwar

Cancelled between 8-14 days of actual journey –25% of the total trek package cost remains non-refundable, the remaining is issued as a future credit valid for 1 year

0-7 Days Prior: 50% is non-refundable, rest 50% as a future credit of the total package amount. (This applies to clients paying the full amount within the due date)

Non-appearance on the trek starting day: No refund.
