Rupin pass Trek
The Rupin Pass trek is a high –altitude, moderate
–to-difficult crossover trek in the Himalayas that goes from Dhaula in
Uttarakhand to Sangla in Himachal Pradesh.
It is popular among trekkers because of its dramatic terrain and strong
sense of adventure. Its diverse landscape includes ancient fir forests, hanging
villages like Jakha, multiple tiers of Rupin waterfall, snow bridges and steep
gully crossings, reaching a maximum altitude of about 15,250 ft. The three-tiered Rupin Waterfall is a major feature of the trek. The Rupin Gully, which
is a steep, narrow snow passage, requires a careful climb to reach the
pass. It offers panoramic views of the Kinnaur Kailash ranges. This trek is not recommended for new trekkers. Trekkers
with good physical fitness should choose this trek.
