Srikhola Gorkhey

The Gorkey-Srikhola trek is a scenic and rejuvenating adventure tucked away in the Darjeeling region of West Bengal. This route is a favourite among trekkers looking for serene landscapes and a taste of local Himalayan culture, away from the more crowded trails.

Beginning at Gorkey, a quaint village perched on the edge of a lush valley, the trek winds through dense forests of pine, magnolia, and rhododendron. Along the way, trekkers are treated to panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and the gentle gurgle of mountain streams. The trail is dotted with charming wooden homes and terraced fields, offering glimpses into the daily life of the friendly local communities.

The journey culminates at Srikhola, a tranquil riverside hamlet named after the crystal-clear river that flows through it. The soothing sound of the river, the fresh mountain air, and the peaceful setting make Srikhola the perfect spot to relax after the trek. With its stunning scenery and authentic village atmosphere, the Gorkey-Srikhola trek is an ideal escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
